El temporal de nieve y viento que ha atravesado Francia este jueves ha provocado la anulación del 10 % de los vuelos del aeropuerto parisino Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle, retrasos en trenes y carreteras y el cierre temporal de la torre Eiffel, además de dejar 235.000 hogares sin electricidad.
"Desafortunadamente, permaneceremos cerrados hoy y reabriremos mañana a la una de la tarde", indicó en las redes sociales el organismo que gestiona la torre Eiffel, además de publicar imágenes de la Dama de Hierro cubierta por un manto blanco.
Respecto al tráfico aéreo, el único gran aeropuerto afectado es el de Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle, para el que la Dirección General de Aviación Civil pidió a las compañías que redujeran su programa de vuelos "un 10 %" entre las 13.30 y las 23.59 de este miércoles, confirmaron a EFE fuentes de ese organismo gubernamental.
En total esta tarde, había 56 departamentos franceses en alerta naranja por este temporal, bautizado Caetano, dos menos que por la mañana.

Las nevadas empezaron a caer de madrugada en Bretaña y en Normandía y han llegado a partir de las 9.00 horas (7.00 GMT) a algunos puntos de Ile-de-France, la región de París.
A eso se suma también el viento, un factor que explica en gran medida los 235.000 hogares que se han quedado sin electricidad, afectados por la caída de árboles y ramas en las líneas.
Las carreteras también se han visto afectadas y se estimaba que a las 17.00 locales, en plena salida del trabajo, había unos 800 kilómetros de retenciones en toda Francia, 370 de ellos solo en la zona de París, de acuerdo con informaciones de la cadena pública FranceInfo.
Los trenes, en especial los que recorren la parte noroeste del país, también sufrían retrasos por la nieve y el viento, que en algunos puntos superó los 160 kilómetros por hora.
El temporal, que ha sido catalogado por servicio meteorológico francés de "episodio invernal precoz", ha atravesando Francia de oeste a este.
